Sustainability

We are committed to meeting today’s needs without compromising the future, fully aware that resources are limited. Join us on our journey toward a more sustainable world.

Sustainability Policy

This sustainability policy establishes the management criteria and guidelines for carrying out our activities sustainably, creating long-term value for all companies within the group and their stakeholders.

Caring for the Business

Sustainability is not an area separate from the business; it is an integral part of it.

Being sustainable makes long-term economic sense, which is why incorporating sustainability into our operations is essential to ensuring the continuity and resilience of the business.

Caring for Our People

Employees: the people working in our operations are treated with respect and integrity, based solely on merit and excellence. We promote and value diversity, encourage teamwork and support continuous training.

For us, safety is non-negotiable. Anyone who does not comply with our standards designed to protect life and well-being cannot be part of our organization.

Community: our companies are committed to maintaining relationships based on trust and collaboration with the communities where we operate.

We strive to play an active role in the development of the areas in which we conduct our activities. We engage directly, openly and transparently with the different stakeholders in the communities surrounding our operations.

Caring for the Environment

We are committed to the responsible use of resources and to helping mitigate the effects of climate change, which already represents a serious threat to human well-being, development and the future of society.

We comply with the legal regulations applicable to each territory and industry. Beyond regulatory requirements, we promote initiatives aimed at reducing emissions and minimizing the environmental impacts that may result from our operations.

Innovation

We see innovation as the vehicle that enables us to shape our future.

We promote innovation across each of these pillars: business, talent, community and the environment, seeking solutions and adaptations that contribute to the long-term sustainability of our operations.

Carbon Footprint

We have undertaken the measurement of our Carbon Footprint in order to qualitatively and quantitatively identify the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by our organization.

This allows us to understand the main sources of GHG emissions associated with the company, its products and services, and to implement actions aimed at improving organizational efficiency and developing a climate action strategy.

It also enables us to communicate our impact on climate change to relevant stakeholders, providing them with information that may support purchasing and contracting decisions, while demonstrating our organization’s commitment to the environment.

We have completed the verification of our 2022 carbon footprint calculation with IRAM as the certifying body.

Energy Efficiency

We participate in the Energy Management Systems Learning Network program organized by INTI and Argentina’s National Secretariat of Energy.

This represents our first step toward achieving greater energy efficiency, which is essential to a sustainable future.

Its importance lies in reducing energy consumption and associated costs, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and protecting both the environment and people’s health.

Life Cycle Assessment

Our team is working on the Life Cycle Assessment of our products.
This involves evaluating their environmental impact at every stage, from raw material extraction through to final disposal.
Join us in our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Our main actions include:

1

Selecting less polluting raw materials for cable coatings and connections.

3

Identifying components that can be recycled at the end of their life cycle.

2

Strictly monitoring internal processes to prevent contamination at our facilities.

4

Implementing a cable drum recovery program aimed at reducing the need to cut down trees to manufacture new drums.

Cable Drum Recovery and Reuse Program

We are committed to the responsible use of resources and environmental protection. For this reason, we provide different options for the recovery, recycling and reuse of cable drums depending on the location.

Electrical Conductor Component Recovery Program

Returning cable components for reuse allows them to re-enter the production cycle, creating a dual benefit: preventing them from becoming waste and reducing the consumption of metal and PVC.
